As you can see from the date, I wrote this when I was 10 years old. It was a school assignment and all I can say is wow…
Apparently, I used elephants as a measurement unit. I think that came about when we learned that 2 tons is about an elephant! No idea what “terts” are, any suggestions?
I remember being very proud of this for some reason. You wonder why I have ambitions of changing the world, just look at the writing prompts kids are given!

I appreciate the 3 different spellings of “thing” (as well as multiple versions of “people” and “jail”) Little kids are so weird that way. It’s like OOH! You just spelled it right! Oh, but no, that time was incredibly wrong.
I have been a spelling Nazi since quite a young age. Except– I had a tendency to stick numbers in the middle of words like they were letters… no idea what that was all about.

My spelling oddity is that I cannot spell most words unless I pretend that I’m typing them on a keyboard. I do a little air-keyboard kind of thing, and name the letters as I type them.
I think it’s the Vardiman genes that do this to us, Val.

Seems like your urge to fix what’s broken about the world goes way back.
