I thought that going from sitting on my bum all day to working upright for 10 hours a day meant fast weight loss, but not true…in a fashion. I actually weigh more now than before I came up here, by about 10 pounds, and it is not from eating BWW! I am bulking up! I am gaining muscle faster than I am loosing fat, and as we all know, more muscle = more fat burning potential.

It took me a bit to figure out what was going on because my belly seemed to be getting bigger! So much so I took a pregnancy test, and after a negative result, I sat and pondered why I was getting bigger. My legs were sore so I was rubbing them while thinking, and then I noticed my -once non-existent- calf muscles and it hit me! Yes my belly (and other areas) are getting bigger because I am gaining muscles =) To test the theory, I flexed my belly, and lo-and-behold, it was not all pudge!

Also, my back never felt better. I usually alway wake up with a back ache, but since starting work, it has gone away. lol isn’t it ironic that I am getting paid to get into better shape! Maybe that is why I could never go for paying a gym to get into shape.

Oh and on a job side note, I suck at being a server. I screwed up all the 10 tables I had. No one was mad, the guests even laughed about it, because they knew I was training. I was the hardest on myself. On my break, I went out back and cried because it was so stressful. On a positive note, I am really good at everything else and as my trainer says, “you don’t have to be the best at any position, but good enough to know how it is done.”
