Hmm, what does one do when they get the neighbors gay porn? I see him several times a day walking his dog and we wave or smile to each other. Last week, the mailman put his gay porn in our box. I don’t have an issue with it at all, but I don’t want him to feel weird. I stuck it on his door, but I am wondering if I should leave a note saying we got it, or should I just let him walk around wondering who knows he is gay? I don’t think he is out and I know that is a sensitive topic for closeted gays. or maybe he is not gay and just likes gay porno mags!

In kitten news, Runty is NOT gonna die. Yesterday (I should note on the first pass I typed “yesterGAY =) he had a myriad of tests and all the biggies came back negative. Today I should get the the liver results which hopefully will shed light on the problem. They think it is a brain infection and sent me home with antibiotics and anti seizure meds. He has not had a seizure in 3 days now. Over the weekend he had a few and Dean finally got to see one. I think he now understands why I was so upset after seeing 6 of those in one day.

After talking about it, Dean and I have decided to keep Runty. He will probably have to be on anti seizure meds the rest of his life at 2 doses a day, but they are cheap (under $20 a bottle that will last several months). If you can believe it, at 8 weeks old he is only 1 pound! He will probably always be a tiny cat, so I guess you can say that Runty is a wish come true; Dean and I always talk about having a perma-kitten!

In job news, I started packing over the weekend and got too depressed and had to stop. Last night cuddled up next to Dean I thought, “I only have 4 more days to fall asleep next to him.” I love the idea of seeing a new place and living there for a while, but I just have such strong connections to my home in the form of warm fuzzy things (and yes Dean falls into that category!).

Since Dean will have to give the meds 2x a day to Runty, he has been doing them on his own since we got them. It is sad having to leave Runty on his own with 2 semi-hostile cats all day long, but it can’t be helped. I worry if he has a seizure in a less than ideal setting, like on the arm of a chair or on top of the warm receiver (his favorite spot). Maybe we ought to look into getting a kennel for him to be in during the day. He might not like it, but he will be safe from himself and the other kitties. Yeah I think we will do that.

Oh yeah, it is snowing =)
