Well Dean and I decided that we would drive to Waco tonight instead of tomorrow. What is a usual 2 hour trip, would be 3-4 if we left in the morning and we just don’t want to deal with that. Last year, we were late to the noon festivities, so we got the cheapest hotel in town for tonight, even thought we really can’t afford it, but it is kinda exciting to stay in a different place!
Then tomorrow we will head to Granny’s and Blackie’s for lunch and hang out there for a few hours. We plan to leave about 2 so we can get to Molly’s before 5 and have dinner with my family YAY!
We have Holi duty on Friday so Molly can go shopping (for those of you that are non-US, it is THE largest shopping day of the year for Christmas), so tomorrow night we will drive back to College Station with Holi in tow, again YAY! I love keeping her, she is such a cool kid, and now that she is almost 3, she is just like a little person.
Friday is my birthday, and Dean is thinking about going out to dinner somewhere. I am guessing that Harriet & Phil (Dean’s mom and step-dad aka Roscoe lol!), and Molly & Holi (my sister and niece) will join us, maybe even Wade (Dean’s dad) and Jan (his new beau) because they might come down to clean out his house more.
Saturday and Sunday we have no plans but maybe to go see Borat with Harriet and Phil, and Monday we start the journey back with a stop-off in Waco to have dinner with Dean’s dad and Jan.
We have wonderful Grant that is going to come and check in on the kitties. It is so wonderful having great friends that also live in the same apartment we do! I can’t describe the amount of worry he takes off our shoulders by checking in on them and since they are older, it is no longer an option to take them with us on 4 hour car trips. Thanks so much Grant!
Well it is 9:30ish now and we are gonna pack up the car, shut the house down, and head to Grant and Prabha’s for a bit before starting the trip.
TTFN!
