So I have a urinary tract infection I think (hurts when I pee and a little blood in the urine) probably from drinking so many sodas on my vacation.
I know the remedy is cranberry juice, so I go and get some. I make sure to look at the ingredients b/c not all juice is real juice. Come to find out, there is no such thing as 100% cranberry juice. It is to strong they say. So I try to find the one that has the least amount of crap in it others than juice.
I get some, and drink about 1/2 of the large container of it. I then notice the tiny tiny font that reads “product only contains 25% juice”.
What a waste of my time! I have drank nothing but that crap for 2 days and it was only flavored sugar water.

Come to Canada my dear. We have lots of 100% juice available … I know because I read the labels as well. But 100% cranberry? But I think thay add other juices to cranberry because the taste would be too bitter. Grape juice is a very popular additive to many juices.
Be well.

Look for the Juicy Juice brand. If they have a cran-something-or-other, it would be all-juice, if not all cranberry juice.
I don’t know that sugary drinks would contribute to a urinary tract infection or not, but if it doesn’t clear up in a day or so, get to a doctor. Can’t mess with something that could spread to a kidney.

I am on day 3 now, tomorrow is day 4. If it is not cleared up by this weekend I will see a doc.
We do not have health insurance (lucky George) and will have to wait till Dean gets paid to go.
Grr about 100 bucks could be wasted on a silly infection caused by E coli!

Well I went to the drug store and got some cranberry tablets and some urinary pain relief tablets.
I hope they help!
